(Ottawa, ON – Oct. 24) The Canadian Wheelchair Sports Association (CWSA) announced today that Kevin Orr, head coach of the wheelchair rugby program, will not be returning for the next quadrennial.
Orr joined the CWSA in 2009 and led the team to silver medals at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and the 2014 World Wheelchair Rugby Championships. Canada placed fourth at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
“Coach Orr has been a valued member of our team for almost eight years and we thank him for his many contributions,” said CEO Catherine Cadieux. “Moving forward, we anticipate some significant changes to our program, which will be announced in the coming weeks.”
